South African Music Festival included eight South African choirs and two international choirs: St. Mark's School of Texas Boys Choir and the Miami Children's Chorus. International choirs participated in drumming workshops, exchanges with choirs from different countries and collaborated with
South African choirs, including the Drakensberg Boys' Choir (who had just returned from their United States coast-to-coast tour with Classical Movements!) when they hosted a collaborative concert with St. Mark's School of Texas Boys Choir.

Beyond learning about South African culture through music, groups experienced outreach programs including one with local elementary -aged students, as well as visiting a game park to see native wildlife and enjoying South African cuisine - even a traditional Braai!
