Yale Alumni Chorus performance with the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra and Paros Chamber Choir at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan, Armenia

Istanbul, Tbilisi and Yerevan conjure up the Silk Road and exotic sounds mixed with traditional American and European repertoire The Yale Alumni Chorus collaborated with numerous local musicians throughout Turkey, Georgia and Armenia, including 3 concerts with major symphony orchestras in the most important concert halls and numerous outreach and collaborations.

A collaborative concert was held with the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Eduard Topchjan, Paros Chamber Choir, Constantine Orbelian, Konstantin Orbelian and the Armenian soloist Yeghishe Manucharian at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan. Also in Armenia, the Chorus had a workshop with conductor Tigran Hekekyan and wonderful time with the Little Singers of Armenia where they shared their musical talents in a cultural exchange.
Yale Alumni Chorus concert at the Djansug Kakhidze Tbilisi Center for Music with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra

In Tbilisi the chorus enjoyed collaborating with the talented Tbilisi Symphony Orchestras and their dynamic conductor Vakhtung Kakhidze at their gorgeous new hall.

Perhaps the most unique of all the concerts was for over 100 Georgian refugees displaced by the recent war with Russia. Covered by press and TV, the free concert was attended by American and Georgian dignitaries. Three of Georgia's most famous a capella groups performed in this concert.
